Due to the national Canadian Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, October 12, 2026, Canada Revenue Agency offices and call centres will be closed to the public. CRA phone lines will not be answered on the holiday. Regular service resumes on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The good news: no CRA benefit or credit payment falls on Thanksgiving Day, so no payment is delayed by the closure.

CRA online services stay available throughout the holiday. In My Account you can view your benefit and credit payment dates and amounts, check the status of your tax return and refund, update your direct deposit and mailing address, and submit documents — all without waiting for the phone lines to reopen.
